i'm a college student and need a touchscreen pda that has word-processing capability, but worried about the $120/monthly fee (for the minutes, texts, gps and internet access). it seems like with the iphone you get more for the same price (instead of a limited amount of minutes with the blackberry, you get unlimited minutes and unlimited texts with the iphone). can anyone give me opinions and advice? in depth advice would be appreciated because i don't really know that much about pda's. thank you!

my contract at verizon is up in march and i was planning on getting a blackberry storm at the new two year price but i've been hearing bad things about it. i thought about look at the samsung omnia as well but i'm not sure. any comments on these phones? any suggestions for other phones on other networks that may be better? thanks!

At this point I would say no. The Storm is having an extremely hard time at the moment, it has so many bugs and things that need to be fixed. As the phone matures, I'm sure it's quality will improve but I wouldn't go out and buy it right now. And as you mentioned, the data plan to get online is quite expensive, it'll set you back $30 a month because the Storm is a smartphone.

Q. Would buying a blackberry storm be worth saving up for?
i have a decent phone it's the lg chocolate 2, and it's a great phone but with some flaws like the sensors are a little too sensitive even if i put it all the way down. also the buttons are a little too small for it like sure it's a small phone you can use but it's not good for the buttons. but anyway i'm just wanting your opinion on if you think if i saved up for the blackberry storm would it be worth it if i got it?

Well personally i think the storm is over priced going for nearly $1000 but it is well worth the money it has been rated one of the best phones in america right now and it has many amazing features it acctually feels like your touching a keyboard becase it sends touch sensitive waves through your finger as you click

I believe if it especially if it lives up to blackberry standards. I love the blackberries. There phones are really great. In my opinion anyway. I know plenty of people who have them and wouldn't give them up for the world. Also it's 3g. That's awesome. It's all touch screen and a sleek sexii phone. So I would say go for it. Most companies let you return the phone within 14 days for aa full return so it you really don't like it you have that option of returning it.
