i think that you might like it compared to your regular phone, but it depends, cause you could use it for a little while and see if you like it, because if you dont like it you could still sell it for a good price since it is a newer phone.

im phone shopping right now and im looking for a new phone, i have narrowed down my choices to the blackberry storm 2, the blackberry tour and the motorola devour. i have seen video reviews of the blk berry storm 2 and from the looks of the videos the phone looks really good. im the type who texts alot so..

Between the Tour and the Storm 2, I would get the Tour. I've heard great things about the Tour, and as far as texting goes: If you've never used a Storm keyboard, you should try it out before you buy it. I used to be able to text really fast, but I can't with the Storm. The keyboard has two letters per key with a sort of predictive text feature that makes it hard to see what you're typing while you're typing. It's not that much of a difference, but it's noticeable. The touch screen, which must be pressed into the phone to type, doesn't allow you to push two buttons at once. You'd be surprised when you're typing to realize how fast you're already pushing down one button before you've finished typing the previous letter. Play with it in the store and decide if you're okay with it before you buy it. It was enough to make me want to sell my Storm. The Tour not only has a full keyboard, but a much better camera. If you're using the phone as more of a phone than a PDA, I think that's enough of a reason right there. If you go on BlackBerry's website (blackberry.com) they give you the option to compare phone features side-by-side and they take a lot of things into account that you don't even think of when shopping for a phone. I really suggest this if you're deciding between BlackBerry phones because there are certain features that you only find in a BlackBerry that very phone phone to phone that other companies wont take into account when comparing phones. And I'd really just say don't get a Motorola. BlackBerry has awesome customer service, really great software, and they're just an amazing company to work with. They make awesome phones that people love and have a history of doing it right. Motorola is just kind of coming into the smartphone market. They have made some really really poor phones in the past (remember the Razr?) and I don't think they've done enough to redeem themselves, personally. If you're going to spend a couple hundred dollars on a new phone, go with a BlackBerry, you'll thank yourself in the end.

Q. Would buying a blackberry storm be worth saving up for?
i have a decent phone it's the lg chocolate 2, and it's a great phone but with some flaws like the sensors are a little too sensitive even if i put it all the way down. also the buttons are a little too small for it like sure it's a small phone you can use but it's not good for the buttons. but anyway i'm just wanting your opinion on if you think if i saved up for the blackberry storm would it be worth it if i got it?

Well personally i think the storm is over priced going for nearly $1000 but it is well worth the money it has been rated one of the best phones in america right now and it has many amazing features it acctually feels like your touching a keyboard becase it sends touch sensitive waves through your finger as you click

hey i am thinking about trading my nokia 5800 express music for a blackberry storm 2, but im not sure if its worth it! basically i have looked at the reviews on the internet but i still have questions that havent been answered..if anyone could help me that would be great. can the blackberry storm 2 get internet anywhere without connecting through wifi? does it really take minutes for the phone to switch on? people have said different things and i dont know what to believe and lastly is it better than a nokia 5800? thanks in advance oh one more thing..i wont be on a contract i will be using a pay as you go sim as im trading my nokia 5800 for someone elses blackberry

You can connect to the internet anywhere you have network coverage if you have an internet and BlackBerry package included in your price plan, so you don't need to rely on Wi-Fi connection to use the internet all the time. It can take a good few minutes for the phone to boot up everytime you turn it off and back on again. It's like a mini computer with all the functions that it has to offer so it can take longer to start up, just like a standard PC does. is the storm 2 worth the wait over the tour? my verizon contract is up so i'm gonna upgrade. also are there any new blackberries coming out for verizon other than the new storm?

The only other phone for VZW that I know of thats in the pipes for release is a Tour with wifi, but thats not going to be for a couple months. If you like touchscrren phones, then the new Storm will be an awesome phone. This is what the storm should have been all along. I own a Tour now, and it's a good phone, I have no complaints.

I'm not sure about the Storm, but I just got the BB Flip and its amazing. The camera is just about as good as my digital camera. It's worth it, especially if your a business person and need quick fast access to wi-fi connetivity. And yes, you have to pay, but you could get it in a plan. And mine doesn't have the touchscreen keyboard, but considering how good of a phone it is otherwise,it probably is.
