Q. What are some small-cap stocks to buy now that are in hot new industries and sectors? i am already an investor in the stock market and have scored 550% in the past 3 months with a small-cap company stock called rockhopper exploration, an oil company, and i'm now looking for another small-cap stock(s) to invest into in a hot new sector or industry that will be beneficial to the future and has a strong chance of success. i would like to know if anybody knows any information on any small-cap stocks they think will do well and have a chance of being at the top of their industries? please help/advise. thanks.
CCTC - This issue is currently trading at .10. Has major contracts pending in both China and the US.
Whether you feel clean coal technology is viable or not the US and foreign governments keep throwing money at it so in my opinion the pps will rise at the mere mention of revenue.

Q. Where can i buy hot chocolate pods for a phillips senseo coffee machine? i have recently purchased a phillips senseo coffee machine and i was wondering where i could buy the hot chocolate pods for the machine. i had a look on the internet and i found websites that sell them but the shipping fees were absolutely horrendous. i am hoping one of the supermarkets such as sainsburys, asda or tesco stock them. thanks
"Why don't you just buy regular instant hot cocoa..."
I've never seen them in stores. They do sell one Godiva Chocolate coffee pod. It has just the slightest chocolate taste and is quite nice.
Another option is buying one of the refillable pods and then buying any brand of coffee and using it in the pod. I just ordered one of these and looking forward to trying all the flavours I've missed out on since they don't make pods in those flavours for Senseo.
Question, though, why don't you just buy regular instant hot cocoa? There's some really nice ones out there and to make it you just microwave a mug of water and then add the mix. There's a particular yummy one I discovered last Christmas by Land o Lakes. They have little bits of chocolate in the mix and it's rich and chocolatey http://www.coffeerocket.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=LOLCCV

Q. Free investment advice for small investors? there are newsletters out there selling for hundreds of dollars that give investment advice on what stocks to buy, mutual funds, etc.
are there any free resources such as forums, etc where you can find stock, mutual fund recommendations, etc that are inexpensive or free? for example i went to motley fool for their recommendation of 2 hot stocks to buy, but they wanted a hundred fifty bucks for the free recommendations. ha.
"Why not just look at stocks yourself..."
those things aren't worth your time. it's just one person's opinion. why not just look at stocks yourself, and come up with your own opinion?

Q. Sell & buy stocks many times a year - high tax? please bear with my ignorant question. :)
if i am to follow very hot stocks right now, which i know will go up a while, but down afterwards, and own those stocks for a short period of time until i think their value go down... and repeat this "owning many different stocks a little while, selling them and finding new hot stock to own"...
i was wondering if there is a high tax imposed on activity like that?
thanks for ur help!!
thanks all for ur answers so far! i have additional quesiton for u.
if you own a stock a little while and instead of selling all off, just sell some shares and keep the rest. say, i had 200 shares of stock a for months or so, and decided to sell 150 of it and keep the rest 50.
in this case, will i be taxed high as a short term capital gain for the 150 shares i sold off?
"You'll pay capital gains tax on the money that you make from the stocks..."
You'll pay capital gains tax on the money that you make from the stocks. It all depends on how much you plan on making and in what period of time.
Short term capital gains are taxed higher than long term. It sounds like you're going for short term gains. In that case, the short term capital gains tax rate is the same as your income tax rate. It ranges from 10% to 35%. That's much higher than the long term capital gains tax rate which ranges from 5% to 15%.
If you use an online trading service such as Sharebuilder, they provide tools to calculate your taxes throughout the year.

Q. Buy high, sell higher, stocks in american markets listed any of choice? buy high, sell higher
how many times have you heard the phrase, "buy low, sell high"? this is the conventional wisdom in the investment world, but research shows you shouldn't be concerned with that part about buying low. let's walk through this one step at a time. research shows that the best-performing stocks make new highs before they make their major leaps in price. moreover, stocks at new highs tend to continue moving higher, while stocks making new lows tend to continue to move even lower.
this is a concept many investors find difficult to accept. they assume it's too late to buy a stock that's reached an all-time high. but the great paradox of the stock market, as investor's business daily founder william o'neil calls it, is "what seems too high and risky to most investors is likely to continue rising. and what seems low and cheap usually goes down."
think about it. if a stock goes from $15 to $50 it has to reach new highs at $16, $17, $18 and so on. stocks making new lows, on the other hand, manifest inherent weaknesses.
just by applying the laws of supply and demand you can see why new highs are important. when stocks advance, they're demonstrating growing demand as investors raise their expectations about the company. on the other hand, stocks making new lows are usually afflicted by just the opposite: sagging expectations. yes, there's plenty of stocks in the bargain basement, but they're there because the merchandise, so to speak, isn't hot.
some stocks may have very strong fundamentals or great stories, yet they don't go up because there's little investor interest. so while you wait for a stock to be discovered -- if it ever does -- other stocks are moving into the spotlight. the spotlight, in a way, is the new-highs list, such as the one that appears daily in ibd and is explained later.
stocks reaching new highs tell you professional investors are moving in and pushing prices higher

Q. Q. What are some *hot* stocks for computer/video to invest in now?? i accidently tossed a some kind of brochere in the trash earlier this week.
i recall a little info on some stock--i believe the abreviation for the stock/share was "turb"? or something like that.
in the brochere [think it was probably from around jan.2007], it stated that "they predicted this share to go up to 600% increase between 2008-2010. and it was one of the "hot stock picks" for 2007.
i'd like to buy some shares.
do any of you savvy stock holders know exactly what i'm referring to? {because i don't, lol}help!! wanna buy some of these shares! :-d
"Are about stocks that do not trade anywhere but..."
well first it is a good thing you tossed that as it was a SCAM
LVLT is a good internet backbone speculative purchase and is trading at about 6/share at the moment
Those "newsletters" are about stocks that do not trade anywhere but what are known as the pink sheets which are essentially non exchanged traded stocks of realllly small companies many of which are just scams set up for the newsletter crowd to tout and suck money out of people who think any thing below 4/share is worth owning....few companies below 3 are worth owning EVER do a search on touting and penny stocks and READ about whatever you plan to put your money into I cannot emphasize enough the importance of investing in the AMEX exchange or the NYSE or NASDAQ. at least there you have a modicum of security and transperancy in company numbers. Stay away from the pink sheets also known as BBOTC or OTC stocks they are POISON and if someone sends you spam or mail touting about a particular stock it is a SCAM as touting is illegal in and of itself.

Just substitute another hot pepper,b ut you might want to see where it lands on the Scoville Scale. the Jalapeno is one of the mildest of the chili peppers.
