Hello,Does anyone know the cost of jenny craig? Where oh where can I get this info? I can`t get this out of my head. Please give me your ideas.

It is between $400 to $650 per month depending on the plan you choose. But that includes all your meals and snacks all cooked and delivered frozen to you. No work so it is a good deal

My sister-in-law did Jenny Craig. She got in on that deal where you lose all the weight you want for $1.00 per pound, plus the cost of food. The classes were a drop in the bucket because of the $1.00 per pound deal, but according to her the food was about $300.00 to $400.00 a month, just for her (and this was about seven years ago). The weight stayed off for my sister-in-law, but for most people it doesn't. Why? Simple: Most people revert back to the same bad eating habits that made them overweight in the first place once they reach their goal. My sister-in-law didn't do that. She watches her calorie intake very closely, she eats VERY healthy (has bad-for-you stuff every once in a great while), and she exercises every day. BOTTOM LINE: Jenny Craig is one good way to lose weight, but if you want to keep the weight off you have to make permanent changes to your eating and exercise habits, or you have to do Jenny Craig for the rest of your life.

i'm not sure about the gold plan... but i did Jenny about 2 years ago and it was expensive... at least $125 a week... not including sign up fee. I had to stop because i couldn't afford. Also, after you buy the food from Jenny, you still need to get veggies and salad stuff.

I have heard lots of nasty stories about the 'food to your door' programs. I heard that the nutritional value is next to zero, which may or may not make you lose weight but will harm the body in ways you cannot see until later, and the bills for this program can add up fast! As a medical student and nutritionist I would like to study more of the jenny craig and nutrasystem programs to find out what is really in the food they sell. I would advise perhaps trying light exercise with good supplementation. This will give you the energy to do your daily tasks and the energy to burn some weight off without leaving you feeling lethargic or tired. Make sure you have potassium, vitimin C, B12, B6, selenium, grape seed extract; all of these will enhance the effects of the exercise. Or there is the Acai supplements, these contain just about everything your body needs to be boosted and burn some weight, along with essential minerals. i am looking to weight loss programs. jenny craig sounds good, but i am worried that since i have to eat their foods the cost will add up.

I have never done it but someone here at work has been on it for a month and lost 8lbs. ANYONE can lose weight by spending 200 dollars a month. Those diets always seem to fail. You end up gaining all the weight back. I did Weight Watchers. Give that a try. It's about 40 per month.

They have periodic specials. In Australia at the moment it is $10 for 10kg. This is for weekly consultations, weigh-ins, education, meal planning and strategies for overcoming situations where you might over eat. The food varies on what you choose. Individual products range form 55c to AU$7. For a month the average cost would be about AU$460 (US$300). Which isn't much considering how much you would spend at the supermarket anyway. And it is all breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks so you don't have to spend anymore money, you won't have the cost of buying lunches at work or takeaway or extra snacks which really do add up. And it works! I think that is the most important part. Even if it is a little more than you would usually spend the difference isn't significant and you will be heading towards the weight you want to be rather than continuing on with a eating habits that don't work.

The Jenny Craig program worked for my wife before we married, and she had trouble with most other diet plans. The fees are low, but the food costs alot, almost doubled her food bills. They provide most of the food in little packets, which works well for some people, but can become a little boring. Something else that worked almost as well for her was Weight Watchers, which allows much more flexibility and lower cost. "Eat healthy and work out", works for some people and not others. For some people it's very important to eat just the right amount, not too many calories, and not too few. Jenny Craig can be a good way to quickly reach a goal weight, but I think Weight Watchers is a better way to reach a lifestyle that keeps the weight off.
