I have a lap band and am considering the military. An AF recruiter told me not to mention that i have had it done and told me that MEPs will not touch me and I am afraid that they will discover the lap band injection port that is under the surface of my skin located in the abdomin area. BTW there are no scars visable on my stomach what-so-ever but you can feel the injection port with your hand. I was wondering if they rub their hands over your stomach/abs area when they do a physical examination as part of checking your liver and or kidneys? If not, then I dont see how they can discover the lapband. I have exhausted all hopes in finding a career (applied to 1000 carrerrs in a year world wide) and this is my last resort to actually live a life.
